Weight Management

Majority of people that feel they are over weigh have tried one diet after another and in the majority of those cases, the person has put the lost weight back on again and in a few instances they have put on more than they lost.

Hundreds of diet plans and programs on the market and yes a lot of them will help with weight loss by changing what you eat but very few will look at the root problem effecting us all whilst on a diet, our eating habits.

Hypnosis can help in weight loss only if you really want it. You still have to do all the hard work, dieting, fitness, exercising etc. Hypnosis will help by unlocking the subconscious and looking at the reasons you over eat and help with self image, confidence and motivation.

  • You may need to lose weight if you are:

Are a man and your waist exceeds 37 inches.

Are a woman and your waist exceeds 32 inches.

Have a high body fat percentage for your age and sex.

Have pain in your joints (excess weight causes greater stress on joints).

Have type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure or heart disease.

You have a Body Mass Index (BMI) over 25 – Be aware that the BMI is not very accurate as in the case of, for example, a body builder will have a high weight for their height and be classed as obese, but only actually have between 7 to 15% body fat and be extremely fit and healthy.

  • It is unhealthy to be overweight or obese because you have a higher risk of suffering from/developing:

  • Cancer.
  • Heart attack.
  • Stroke.
  • Heart disease.
  • High cholesterol.
  • High blood pressure.
  • Type 2 diabetes.
  • Hypnotherapy for weight loss normally requires more than one session, due to exploring and dealing with the causes of weigh gain then supporting you on your possible self image, confidence and motivation problems.

COMFORT EATING

Sometimes referred to as emotional eating and usually is not linked to physical hunger.
Majority of comfort eaters, eat because of boredom, this sometimes leads onto using food to assuage feelings, to cope with stress or to relax.
After a while a pattern is formed and in turn, problems with diet, health and weight gain become evident. These can be stressful for the person that comfort eats and in turn uses food to combat the stress. A vicious circle.

Hypnotherapy for weight-loss techniques

  • While each case is different because everyone has different reasons for wanting to lose weight, some suggestions you might encounter during hypnotherapy for weight-loss include:

Envisioning the body you want or the level of fitness/health you wish to achieve.

Imagining how you will feel with your new look and health.

Imagining yourself reaching that goal effortlessly.

See how much you will have improved from today.

Imagining how energised and confident you will feel.

Realising that the more you exercise, the more you will want to exercise and the easier it will become to do so.

Whenever you get the urge to eat something unhealthy, or eat when you’re not hungry, imagine not reaching your goal and think about how that will make you feel.

These visualisations and many, many more are designed to empower you so that you can take control of your choices. Hopefully you will learn to enjoy the taste of healthy food and stop craving sugary, fatty things.

You should also learn to enjoy your body and not see it as a source of anxiety. By tackling those deep feelings forming the foundations of your eating habits, you can learn to adopt a healthier lifestyle and enjoy doing so.
